Bulk Edit Everything: Help
Email support@dixonappstudio.com. We reply within one business day (Pro: same day).
Getting started
- Open the app from Apps → Bulk Edit Everything.
- On Bulk edit, pick what to edit (products, variants, collections, customers, orders, draft orders, pages, blog posts, blogs, files or URL redirects).
- Filter the records, using Shopify's own search syntax, for example
vendor:Acme status:active. - Add one or more changes, for example Price → Increase by a percentage → 10 → round to .99.
- Press Preview to see each record's value before and after. Nothing is written yet.
- Press Run now, or schedule it (Starter and Pro). You can close the tab; the task finishes on its own.
Undo
Every task saves each record's previous values before anything is changed. Open Tasks, choose the task and press Undo. Undo reaches back 7 days on Free, 30 on Starter and 90 on Pro.
CSV export and import
Export any record type with the columns you choose, edit the file in a spreadsheet, and import it on the Import tab. Keep the
id column; only the columns you map are changed, and rows that already match are skipped.
Plans
Free: 50 changed records per task, 500-row exports. Starter ($9.99/month): 5,000 records per task, scheduling, 30-day undo. Pro ($24.99/month): unlimited. Both paid plans have a 7-day free trial and are billed by Shopify. Change plan on the app's Plan tab.
Common questions
A task stopped with "more than N records". The task would have changed more records than your plan allows, so it stopped before writing anything. Narrow the filter or upgrade.
A record shows "failed". Shopify rejected that one change (for example a duplicate handle). The message beside it says why; the rest of the task is unaffected.
Changing a URL handle. The app always creates a redirect from the old URL so you don't lose search rankings.
